Outside of town but close enough. Nice views and plenty of dispersed camping. Unfortunately it seems that many previous campers didn't take their trash with them.
We came expecting a great hiking area. Due to lack of sufficient planning on our end, it took a bit of wondering to find the trail we were looking for. I had expected an information area, but coming in on the east side, we never saw one. It was a little disappointing to not have a point of information, but we hiked on. It definitely has a southwestern feel, with plenty of cacti!
This is not a Glacier or museum this is a Canyon with awesome mountain bike trails.
This is a place of beautiful scenic treasures. With plenty of hiking trails as well as designated camping spots.
Beautiful scenery and ample parking.
