Wonderful museum. Cost $3.00 to get in. Has some video and interactive things but the displays are the stars without gimmicks. Went into the art gallery and was drawn into staring at several oil painting that are amazingly good. Lost track of time looking at the art. Highly recommended.
Worth Visiting while in Old Shastaud83dude0anI lived in Old Shasta for 2 years and miss it everyday!
I liked the buildings and authentic decor. It did feel like a stepchild site, not getting much love or care from the park service. Still worth a visit if you like history.
Lots of great info given by the ladies working that day.
