I am very pleased with my first use of American Roto. I called at about 9:30 am and the plumber arrive before 1 p.m. and resolved my problem in less than five minutes! On a weekend, too. Anthony was smart and very professional. I will certainly keep his card for future mishaps in the plumbing arena. Thank you.

Recently purchased an old home built in 1965 with original cast iron pipes. The kitchen sink and washing machine would not drain so I called a couple of Plumbers in the area. As soon as I met Aaron with American I knew I had found somebody I could TRUST! After he spent a couple of hours trying to unclog just the kitchen sink and crawling under the house we came to realize the old cast iron had reached it's end of life. Aaron and his partner, who is also a very experienced journeyman, worked their tails off to replace every inch of cast iron under the old house and did it in just 2 days rather that the 3 we thought it might take at the start. These guys really did a great job and I highly recommend them and American Roto.
I’ve used this company two times in the past year. First time, the technician completed the job as expected. 4 or 5 stars.nnThe second time, did not go so well. Technician came in to snake a pipe my bathroom. He cut off the clean out plug to access the clean out. I know this can be necessary in an old house. He used the snake and it got stuck. It probably took him 20-30 minutes to retrieve it. He was not happy. I can understand. The drain was still not clear.nnBut here is my issue. He suggests that we jet since there is still some more stuff in the pipe. I'm thinking maybe but that's the most expensive option on the menu. He asks if I'm ready. I say no. I could tell he wasn't expecting that answer since the clog wasn't cleared. Technician leaves and I grab my $13 Home Depot snake. I run it 4 times and pull out some more baby wipes.nnThen I had to drive to the hardware store to grab a clean out plug. Not a big deal but the technician should carry them in his truck.nnPerhaps I got lucky but I sorta feel this was an attempt to make a $99 bill into a $500 bill. In the end I learned that clearing a drain sometimes just takes effort and less fancy equipment.
