Even before I became a freshman student at WKU, I used to visit the Kentucky Museum as we lived just a short ways away on the Old Morgantown Road.
Wonderful museum and the building also houses the WKU libraries special collections department including the Kentucky Library, WKU Archives, and Manuscripts. The museum is perfect for an interesting way to spend your day, and the special collections has a lot of great reference materials for any research concerning Kentucky or WKU!
It is closed due to the WKU shut down due to Covid
Exhibits and artifacts are all related to the history and natives of bowling green. Including the civil war, Duncan Hines, and a series of home items spanning the stylistic eras of modern history. Admission was free.
High quality exhibits with some truly remarkable items on display, this is one of BGKY's top attractions for anyone interested in the culture and heritage of Kentucky! Great activity kit for kids, too!
