This museum is an active workspace. The volunteers are helping restore a B-17. They were friendly and happy to talk about everything they were doing. They have a working B-25 and loads of interesting photos and facts. Worth the trip.

One of the best museum’s around. Don’t let the small size fool you. If you pass it by you will be missing this beautiful gem of a hanger and the the awesome things displayed. I happen to stop by in late afternoon. I spent about an hour and a half before having to continue on with my trip. I will definitely be back as this place deserves more time. The staff was really welcoming and I felt like they really rolled out the red carpet. Please stop by it’s worth the time and if you can please donate whatever you can.

I have visited aircraft museums all over the country. Champaign Aviation Museum is truly the best experience I have had yet. Friendliest people. We got to see aircraft restoration up close, in every stage and aspect. Gives a greater appreciation of the great effort to produce aircraft that would win the war and save the world. This museum is a must see if your ever in Ohio. Skip Dayton and go straight to Urbana. You can go to Dayton later.

This place is amazing. All the volunteers were kind and welcoming. They answered every question I had and gave me a thorough tour. This museum was the highlight of my trip and is a must for any aviation enthusiast. I can’t wait to see her in the air!
