2020 12 Update: We have completed the move out process. In many places we have rented, you can plan on them working hard to keep as much of your deposit as possible. We are pleased that was not the case with AH4R. Our property manager, Christen McConnell, worked with us throughout the move out process to make it easy and we're getting 95% of our deposit back. Overall, we are pleased with AH4R and Christen has made our rental experience great from beginning to end. We are moving at the end of the year (we bought a house) and she has done a great job of helping us work out the details. We have appreciated our time with AH4R and would recommend them highly.nnChristen McConnell, our property manager, did a fantastic job responding to our emails about renewing our lease. She worked to save us over 60% on our purposed rent increase. I appreciated her quick reply and all the money she is saving our family. Thank you, Christen!!!!nnUpdate: Christen, thank you once again for being a fabulous property manager! The problems we were having with the company that came out to fix our leak has been resolved. We have decided to rent with American Homes 4rent in June of 2016. Overall experience has been great. Our property manager who was a gentlemen was not super responsive. However, Christen McConnell has went above and beyond her role. She proactively touched base to introduce herself. She is super responsive but it’s not just about that. She listens, she shows empathy and understanding and works with urgency. She sets expectations and holds her peers accountable if needed. I don’t have much addressed here since we have been here, however two items I had to work with her she has been nothing short of amazing. I haven’t met her personally. However, I feel as if I made a friend over the phone with her very personable personality. Thank you Christen for all of your help and your extraordinary work ethics and the vast knowledge of your role and the great things you bring to the company. We are building a new home and I can honestly say this home with AH4R will surely be missed when we leave because it has truly become home the last 4 years. ❤ufe0f

As our time comes to an end with this company and we move back to SC I can’t say how grateful me and my family are of all the help and support over the last few years. She answered all my questions timely, was very courteous, and even exceeded my expectations.nI’ve had nothing but great experiences with this company and everyone they partner with. Any maintenance request has been taken care of promptly without any issues. I love renting from American home for rent. They really take care of their tenants.
