Worst school year to date at this school. Numerous issues in my son's class this year and rather than teach kids coping skills there answer is to tell them to not play together. You don't leave it to kids to follow that when kids gravitate to other kids wither welcome or not. The administration has done nothing to enforce this. The communication with the teacher and principle are horrible. You make a call or send a note and get no response back on actions being taken to improve on an issue. There are 13 children leaving the school this year that we alone know of due to constant and repetitive issues as well as lack of communication. Sadly a large portion of the 13 is all from the second grade. My child has not been challenged in the subject matter he excels in and in his one weak area he had not been encouraged or assisted by his teacher. Our son does not feel valued in his class. This is the only school that puts behavioral issue students as priority over the rest of the population. It has been catered to the working with the no child left behind instead of keeping the interest of all students and challenging abilities of all students. Thank gd there are only a few days left and we will be in a much higher rated district with a staff that hopefully cares for the success of my child and their safety.

Out of the 420 students, 333 of them being Caucasian and 21 of them are black, my child just happens to be one of those black children. This would be his second year in this school. Last year we had no problems. His kindergarten teacher was phenomenal. This year however the teacher is incompetent, did interested and does not care. My child has come home on several occasions stating he feels as though his teacher does not like him or he is being treated differently. This year he had an incident where he was kicked in the privates and instead of immediately being called we were not. Weeks later we met with the principal and she herself didn't even know about the incident. This schools values have rapidly declined. I was so excited and looking forward to this year and now I can not wait until the school year is over to see if there is a way he can be transferred to another school in the same district. I am not the only parent making complaints

My daughter started kindergarten this year. She has never been away from home. At first it was a little hard for her but, now she loves school. She never wanted to go to school and now she doesn't want to stay home. They do a lot to get the children involved.
