I recently purchased a home originally built by Barlow Homes in 2003. Barlow Homes failed to install a code-compliant dryer vent, failed to install a dryer vent cover, failed to ensure that a home that would see use for decades was built properly. As a second owner of this home and well-past the statute of limitations, my legal recourse is non-existent; however, I want people to know the quality of home they're contracting for Barlow Homes to be built may not be consistent with coding or common sense. I am unable to use my dryer due to this fire hazard and will have to pay to have this rectified by a licensed contractor rerouting the dryer vent since this is unusable.
