Fun little display if you are at Cowan Lake anyway, located in the cabin area of the campground. They have an owl, falcon, turtles, salamanders and a snake. If you have small children they have a bald eagles nest out front that the kids can climb in and you can take your pictures. Archery and other programs available. If you are in the area, check it out. Free for the Naturalist cabin but may have to pay a $3 visitor fee to the campground if you are not staying.

Lots of things to learn about in the naturalist cabin. There is a barred owl, an American kestrel, two box turtles, a spotted salamander and a friendly corn snake. Many new projects are going in there to improve it. Archery, canoe, kayak, stand up paddle boarding on the weekends. Programs are free.

Do stop in if you're camping here. You can visit with some of 5he creatures who live in the area. The nature guide was very knowledgeable.
