Garwood Borough Police Headquarters

The Garwood police were responding to a call about a couple in a fight next to where I was stopped on my bicycle talking on the phone. They approached me and asked me if I was involved, not busting my balls or anything just trying to get some leads and see what was going on. I told them what I observed and the officer asked me if I worked in a Kitchen (by observing my dirty kitchen shoes) I talked briefly to them and they were very nice and didn't give me a hard time. I offered the officer that asked me what was up, my ID and he said yeah that would be nice I just wanna make sure you are who you say. Another officer turned and walked, I assume he thought they were going to check my ID in the computer but the nice guy said, hey I don't have a flashlight. The other officer turned back and shined the light on my ID, asked me a few confirming questions and handed my ID back and said thank you. I would say that they are overall nice guys, just doing their jobs. I assume this is a small town so it's quiet. I understand they are doing their jobs, and doing it well. I would say overall I have met some jerk cops, but the ones I encountered out of Garwood are nice and I would say be nice to them.nI do think that the guy that was gonna run my ID was either a rookie, or a dick, but hey, not a big deal we all have bad days.nA few days before, I was stopped on the street texting and a police officer pulled over and asked if I was alright, just looking out.nI said I am just on the phone no problems here, and he said okay and have a nice night.nSeriously I think these are the best police officers I have ever encountered.nI always see them out patrolling never slacking, and doing a good job.nTax dollars well spent, and nice people overall.nThank you Garwood PD.
