Monmouth Building Center

I used Monmouth builders for a small lumber order for a house project. Overall the service was good and the turn around was fast. My biggest issue was that one of the boards had a huge chunk missing and another board was 2 feet shorter than I ordered. It was my fault for not realizing right away and I didn’t call to get this fixed as we were thankfully able to make it work for our project.nI wish they had paid a little more attention to detail since that would have ensured I would use them in the future as we have many projects planned in our new house. Just disappointing.

Been a few years since been here on pretty constant basis but sent my clients the Pollers here to sort out their cabinets for kitchen and two bathrooms and the service upstairs was excellent and in 3 hours they got everything done on a Friday morning and verified at house by designer that afternoon after a snowstorm and Monday the order was placed. good to see old faces Randy Lester and the Gang also . always great to do business here

It was my first time ordering here and honestly did not have a great experience with these guys. Normally I order from Jaeger Lumber in Lakewood, but I needed sheetrock which they did not carry. Everyone I talked to on the phone here had some sort of attitude. I placed the order anyway because I needed the materials. After my credit card was hit for the order, I got a call back saying that a portion of the order was not going to be available when it was originally supposed to be delivered. They were not able to tell me when the order was going to come in and throughout the entire ordering process, nobody was able to give me a clear timeframe on when I could even expect a delivery. When I voiced my concern about this inconvenience it was met with attitude on the part of the sales rep I was working with. After I hung up the phone the whole interaction just really didn't sit right with me. So, I cancelled my $2000+ order and did business with someone else. Clearly there's a culture problem here. Do yourself a favor and call another supply store. I ended up ordering my materials from Lattanzio Lumber Company in Franklin Township - great guys and actually $200 cheaper. General Builders Supply in Little Silver was also able to match their rates when I asked and they are much friendlier to deal with.

Needed some quick lumber work. Great staff. Great job.

Paint department is always great 5 stars ⭐ufe0f for themnservice counter is a pretty pathetic every single person has an attitude and are so unwilling to help I know it wasn’t just me I watch other customers endure the same there are plenty of other options to buy building material
