Came here to fill out a hit and run and the moment we walked in both officers at the desk just looked at us and went back to basically doing nothing. The bald white man was playing with his computer.nThe white passing latina was helping another officer rip a SINGLE piece of paper. For god sake you people get a new building and deliver the bare minimum of service? I mean the white chick ends up taking our report, and as my boyfriend and I are talking thru the glass shes scrolling on her little android phone SERIOUSLY LADY?nnMy first ever time having to deal with Newark and y'all really live up to the LOWEST expectations jesus christ.

Had a failed attempted theft from this precincts jurisdiction. Talked to a Detective here about it, but couldn't do much because it was a failed attempt. Detective was very informative, gave some advice, and will follow up with a call back. Profesional, courteous, and informative. Felt it was handled as best as could be done for the situation. Police were unresponsive to car being stolen we ended up locating, retrieving evidence from the car that the thieves left behind and doing their damn job for them. We waited over 12 hours before we took matter into our own hands.
