Loma Heights Elementary School

Like who in their lazy nothing to do other than drop off a child and go home or shopping mind came up with this SMART idea of signing in at the front office then walk the child to class only to SIGN THEM IN THERE .....and then turn around walk to the front office to SIGN OUT (mind you while there is a long line)..... LIKE HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE A WORKING PARENT AND HAVE TO BE AT WORK BY 8AM??????? I GUESS NOT!! REALLY SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE......and you Ms. Faith...you really need to learn MANERS...how can you handle the front desk and yet be so rude!!! Have some heart and understand that some of us working parents need to be at work by 8am. The least you could have done seeing that I was frustrated with the new rule was explain to me about a lanyard that will get me in and out without having to stop and sign in wait for someone to press the unlock door button to go back and have to deal with the whole stupid process again of signing a child in.......And yes every time I call to talk to the principle she so happens to be in "meetings".... I wonder if they are meeting to make MORE STUPID RULES!!!!!!!!

My family likes them alot

With the new 'principal' came a new set of rules. Parents are powerless at this school. Every concern of the parent is shot down by the principal and the staff there. 'Principal' Ragan is more concerned about her staff and their reputation than satisfying the concerns of the parents. The front office staff are rude and nosey. They question your every motive as the parent such as; why you request to walk your child to class even if your child is hurt and on crutches. (that is seen as a 'disturbance') and they demand to know why you are picking your child up from school early even if it is personal and none of their business. If parents are granted permission they need a pass to enter into the school past the front desk and have to wait until the door is unlocked, however I've seen other parents go around and through the doors by the cafeteria and walk right into the school without showing identification or signing in. After making such a huge fuss over school security they do nothing about this issue which is a huge security risk. I've also had issues with a lunch monitor they hired who was bullying my child over different things and forced her to sit out during her recess time until she showed her 'respect' and they supported the monitor. That is not ok. With that said, my biggest issue with this school is that my child was hurt during school and the nurse did nothing. And I, as her mother was not called. However the principal argued that the nurse follwed 'protocol'. My daughter is currently on crutches. There is something seriously wrong with this school and it's staff.

School has a average grade but they are under staffed and horrible with communication
