This was my first experience at this establishment, and I'm sad to say it will likely be my last. The food was terrible. I ordered a season dish (Brisket Mac and Cheese) and she ordered Meatloaf. The mac and cheese would have been much better if they had cooked the onions that they threw into it. They were raw. And her mashed potatoes she got with her meatloaf were most definitely instant. The service was also very slow. Our waitress didn't check on us one single time between getting us our drinks and serving our food (we waited about 20 minutes for our food). I was not impressed with the food nor the service. I would gladly go to Maxwells down the street for much better food and service.

Good to get some bbq like I grew up with. Vinegar based sauce that you add yourself. Live in Kansas City now and this better than anything there.

Great service. Great barbeque chicken. Need to improve on their potato salad and baked beans.

Absolutely the worst BBQ ive had in a long time. The ribs are super dry and yet covered in grease. The potato salad was bland and had no flavor what so ever and the coleslaw tasted like a mouth full of vinegar. Even the ice cream was freezer burnt. Would not recommend to anybody that enjoys a good BBQ. DISGUSTING

We came on a short get away to celebrate our anniversary, we wanted to stay in state so chose to come to Paducah. I started looking for local places to eat instead of franchise restaurants we could eat anytime. Our first stop was Backwoods BBQ. When we walked in we were instantly greeted. A few people were standing waiting on food orders to go. Social distancing was being practiced and everyone was wearing masks. We said we were visiting from out of town , and wanted recommendations. Everyone said Ribs. We both ordered the ribs with sides and they were amazing. We then shared a piece of chocolate pie and OMG it was incredible, my husband said it was just like grandma used to make. If your in the area you have to stop in and check them out.
