This is my friend Mari's store, she has been putting this collection of antique and vintage lace and trims together for 20+ years. You can find linen and lace Victorian or Edwardian clothing in beautiful condition, vintage tablecloths, lace trim yardage to use with your sewing projects, buttons from the late 1800's to 1960, vintage hankies and small pincusions and sachets made from orphaned and salvaged textiles (pieces that don't belong to a set). You could go one day and come back another day and see so many other pieces that you didn't see the first day. I love this museum.

I have visited the lace museum in the summer and in the winter and both times the featured collection was different. What an extensive variety of beautiful lace items including tablecloths, curtains, gowns, blouses, jackets, scarves, veils, etc. In addition, there are buttons, gloves, hats, shoes, purses, note cards, sachets, handmade pillows, frameable prints and magazines that can be purchased. I'm planning a trip in April for my AAUW group to experience it and hear Mary talk about the history of lace making and the story of the various pieces in her museum store. Kudos to you, Mary, for sharing such a marvelous lifelong collection with us.

It's a shop for antique lace and lace trimmed garments as much as it is a museum. The displays are lovely and informative, with some excellent quality pieces.

So much fun, vintage apparel and bits of fabrics, beautiful lace pieces from all over the world.
