Port Huron Station

Amtrak and to a lesser degree MDOT quit caring about this station when they removed the agent. Bathrooms are kept clean and there’s plenty of seats but there’s also a mouse trap in the corner of the lobby and the Quik-Trak kiosk only works intermittently and the company doesn’t even want to address it. At the end of the day, you can still ride a train out of the dumps of Port Huron every day, for now.

Thank you for ruining my Chicago vacation Amtrak. Delay after delay, this will literally be a 12 hour trip and it should have been 6. By the time I get to Chicago I'm going to have turn around and come home. I will never take a train again, especially Amtrak.nAnd perhaps the angry people who's day you are ruining would appreciate a smoke break at one of the 50 stops. JUST AWFUL.nnUPDATE I've come to the conclusion that it was probably just a bad day all around for everyone, the staff included. Our ride back was quick and pleasant, as was the staff. In fact, I might be tempted to ride the Amtrak again. Go figure.

The train on Aug 20 from Port Huron to Chicago was 3 hrs late. The train home on Aug 22 was 2:45 mins late. No reasons. And after doing research, being late is not uncommon.

I recently boarded the blue water train at this station. The train station is not staffed but it seems that most passengers know what's going on. The male staff was pretty rude from the get go. The blue water line train is not very clean. Stains, dust, sticky everything. What's interesting was that a good number of the passengers are pretty sketchy/wired. I witnessed some woman nearly backing into the same car multiple times and the owner of the other vehicle had to drive away and park elsewhere. While this was happening, someone else drove a bit into the ditch, a group of middle-aged men and women who were very loud, and one of the women laughed often yet it sounded like squeal most of the time. Some other woman went to the bathroom and just left the door open. This all happened within the first ten minutes so I'm a bit worried. The upside is that the internet is adequate for web browsing. The train was delayed by about half an hour.

My husband and I have took this train on multiple occasions and we love it. It always seems to get to the train station earlier than it was supposed to. We got no complaints and we will keep taking this train anytime that we must travel.
