Troy Transit Center

I love riding the train!! Makes a very quick few minute stops along the way so you just have to pay attention. The train has a lot of space for luggage but I wish I could see a map with the next stop/ ETA or just a marquee showing what's next and how long the train will stop there.

It's a fine train stop. The only thing that would make it better is if there were a ticket kiosk present. As it is you're forced to use the Amtrak app or order tickets ahead of time.

The area inside and outside is not infested with homeless people. The indoor area has food, and drink machines if you get thirsty or want a snack. The bathrooms are, kind of bad, but what do you expect from a public bathroom.

The Troy Transit Center is a new building located in the back of a shopping center. I went to pick up my son that was coming from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Friday in the afternoon.nThe station is nice, well located, and has a waiting area in the building. However, there is not an employee in the building all they lol g. The tickets need to be bought via online. The parking lot is big and free.nWhen I went to pick up my son, an employee from Amtrak was there on duty.nTo go to Chicago for few days, that is the perfect station to leave your car.

Nice station, obviously newer. Ample parking. Unlike other Amtrak stations, there is no staff nor a kiosk. Print off your tickets before you arrive or use the Amtrak mobile app.
