Art Cleaners

I have gone here for years without a problem until now! I took an expensive coat that was 1 year old, in to be cleaned. I was not talked to about the coat, how it would turn out or if it would change it at all! I had only worn it about a couple dozen times last winter.nnWhen I picked it up & got it home I realized the texture of the whole coat was completely different. It was matted & rough. It even had several “crunchy/scratchy” Spots on it...it felt singed or burned.nnI took the coat back to Art Cleaners to show them the damage & that my coat was ruined. They kept my coat to speak to the owner. A couple days later I went back in to see what they were determined they would do. They tried to blame me for the damage saying I wore the coat (which I didn’t. I was going to wear it until I realized how bad it was! And besides even if I did wear the coat.....they still ruined it!! & that had absolutely nothing to do with it)nThey told me I put a “sticker” on my coat to cause a weird round patch that it had on it. Which I assured them I had Never put a sticker on my coat. I’mnPretty sure they lied to me when they told me they didn’t dry clean it but laundered it. They ended by saying it turned out the way it was supposed to! However I was not told or warned it would completely change my coat. They did NOT discuss any warnings at all about it when I dropped it off.nnThey then told me if I still wanted to “make a claim” I had to fill out a form however they didn’t have any forms. They would submit it to the owner who would then decide a percentage of what he would pay me for my coat. They would Not give me the full amount to replace it. However if they did pay me any money they would keep my coat!!nnI am very upset & completely disappointed in their lack of responsibility & accountability. Also with their blatant lies & accusations!nI am @ 50 years old & am an honest person who tries to support localnBusinesses especially right now!nnI will NEVER return to this business & I urge you to use GREAT caution if you decide to!!! They clearly have no respect for their customers or the clothing they are trusted to clean & care for!!!

I've been trying to get my dress and didnt have the money but now I do if my dress is not there I would be upset and never go back I have the money and want my dress asap

I took a dress that had lost its pleat in to Art Cleaners after speaking with someone on the phone to see if they could put the pleats back in. Over the phone I was told they didn’t have the “crimping tool”needed to put the pleats back in but if I brought itnIn They would see what they could do. I took it in and the women I dropped it off with said she didn’t know if they could put the pleats back in but she would talk to the person who did the pressing. I asked if they couldn’t be put back in could they stem the dress and take them completely out. She again said she didn’t know. I asked to be called if they couldn’t do it because the dress didn’t need to be “dry cleaned”. I was told it would be ready Friday. Because i had not been called, I went back Friday to pick the dress up expecting there to be pleats or for them have been steamed out. Instead I found no pleats had been put in nor had the little that was there been steamed out. I was told the dress had been dry cleaned. I asked why I wasn’t called to be told they couldn’t do it. The woman said there was no note saying anything about calling me. She was not the same woman I left the dress with earlier in the week. I told her I didn’t think i should have to pay for a service I didn’t ask for. She said I couldn’t have the dress if I didn’t pay for it. . The woman who waited on me was not at all understanding and was quit rude. I will never go back to Art Cleaners as they have Very poor customer service.

Rolled into town with a cleaning emergency from the road an hour before they closed on a Friday. They got loads of coffee stains out of a white shirt and an expensive pair of jeans like it had never happened, and in time to pick up Saturday morning. Great service.

Friendly service. The owner helped me in a pinch. Very much appreciated.
