Great place full of history. Our tour guide Tod was amazing and a wealth of knowledge. Both the beginning in the hoist house and the walk through the mine were amazing. Learned a lot about the mine itself and the geology of the area. Tod took the time at the end to answer all of my questions including very interesting information about how they found the copper here. I Would recommend this tour to everyone even if you are not interested in going underground.
Having lived in the Copper Country for a few years in the 80's, the history of this beautiful place is fascinating to me. The Quincy Mine property is really interesting just to walk around, and I finally took the tour of the hoist and mine with my daughter. We really enjoyed having Dillon as our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun.
Can you say WOW!!! Just WOW! Ben was Amazing! He was soooo informative. He knew the history of Quincy Mine inside and out and there wasn't a question he couldn't answer. He made you feel the experience, to imagine the daily sacrifice these men made for their families...sometimes paying with their lives. I highly recommend this tour. It's a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you, Ben!!
Excellent experience! So glad we opted for the guided tour instead of the self-guided option. Our guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable and passionate in his role. When he was done I was moved to tears and wanted to break out in applause.
