Beautiful tour, we went a year ago and will definitely stop by if we’re ever in the area again. Make sure you’re in good shape to walk all the stairs! Gorgeous view too once you get to the top.

I loved studying about this place! It really made me smile throughout the research and I would love to visit one day! I'm a student at Mt.Blue Middle School in Farmington, Maine and this place is AMAZING!!

The Portland Observatory is of historic significance. The observatory was built in 1807 it served to communicate with ships providing two way communications. There were both a telescope and signal flags that were used in the day. The observatory is worth a visit as it is iconic to Portland.
