Being at the mill was very relaxing.Its just one of the many historical places in Maine off the beaten path to enjoy!Grab a lunch, the kids and head out!DON'T FORGET THE DOG!!
1847 Barrel Making and Sawmill site. Shingle Making and working Blacksmith Shop. Mill Owner's Homestead with original possessions. Tours with Family and local history given. Book recently published outlining fascinating history. Old vehicles to look at. Sometimes Horse drawn exhibitions. Volunteers and Donors needed. Watch a barrel being made and buy it on site!
A very picturesque location with an amazing history. We were very fortunate to have a brief conversation with Marilyn Hatch regarding the history of the property.
