I would recommend Wendell Lewis, Benchmark Mortgage, to all prospective clients, but I feel that I can especially speak to the experience that first-time homeowners can expect from their first initial call or visit until they exit his office at closing. My entrance into the home buying market found me at an awkward, in-between position. A first-generation college graduate who had recently earned a PhD and landed a successful career position, I had accomplished many important milestones in life. Still, I did not know the first thing about how to start a conversation about buying a house... because no one in my family had ever done it. I felt embarrassed, ignorant, and scared. I honestly chose Wendell over the local banks in my area, because he made me feel the most respected, intelligent, and worthy of all the places I tried. I was happy to end up with a lower interest rate than he first proposed in just under a month.
