Morton Grove

Metra ticket agent very helpful. Agent not on duty all day maybe only during am rush. Great station. Plenty of parking . Metra trains kind of empty. I ride to union station

There is a train station. Metra stops at the station. Amtrak doesn't.

Clean facility but no public washroom, no water fountain, no vending, no coffee shop nearby. There are bicycle racks on the south end of the building. You can tap into Xfinity hot spots transmitting from the condo buildings across the railroad tracks.

I had the option to depart or aboard from Golf Metra Rail Station or Morton Grove Rail Station which both are within a 1-mile radius to-and-from my destination. I went with this station because my ticket price is 75 cents cheaper than departing or boarding from Golf Metra Rail Station.nnAs for this station, it is well-maintained being that it has been open since 1892. And during my initial depart from it, I got the chance to peak inside of its indoor shelter which looks far from neglected being that it is stocked with Milwaukee District North (MD- N) travel pamphlets, books donated by Morton Grove library, and seating to keep you comfortable as you wait for the train to arrive.nnOther than the train arriving nearly 10-minutes past its arrival, my initial commute from this station was very pleasant because there were not that many riders on the train due to it being the final in-bound train towards Chicago for the night.nnAnd lastly, there is plenty of parking at this station in what appears to be a peaceful area. In fact, the only fear I had in this area was a skunk coming out of Frank Bobrytzke Forest and spraying me, but that is about it, hehe. If you plan on walking from this station, it sits not too far of a walk from Dempster Street (.50 miles) where you can catch the bus or visit some of the nearby restaurants and businesses in Morton Grove.
