best station during the quarantine

The Edison Park train station is a comfortable place to wait for your train. The inside is usually open, rain or shine, so that's nice. There are several benches inside. There is also a table with flyers and coupons for local businesses, if you want to browse while waiting. Be advised, there is no ticket agent, and there are no public bathrooms. However, there are bathrooms at the restaurant and bar across the street that might let you use them. The Edison Park Chamber of Commerce office is also in the station with limited office hours. As for parking lots, there are a couple. You can park in the long lot parallel to the tracks, or the lot to the west. Look for the pay boxes.

You’d be surprised what a hidden gem of a metro station this is. Just get here early, before your trains schedule arrival time, and don’t hesitate to opt out for a cup of coffee at the corner coffee shop or a quick bite which you can order to go, from the surrounding dining establishments within walking distance of the station. Matter of fact, I know people who transit out here just for the atmosphere of Edison Park.
