Lincoln Park Zoo

Need reservations but it's worth it..

It really seems like the Lincoln Park zoo is doing a lot of work to try to improve the experience for the area families and tourists to frequent the park. It’s definitely the third best free zoo experience I’ve had in the country after St. Louis, MO and Garden City, KS. I hope the zoo continues to grow and improve! The food court here has the best priced options and highest quality of any tourist destinations in the city by far. It would be nice if the field museum and aquarium could offer comparable options!

During times of COVID-19 a lot of the exhibitions are closed.

I'm a member of the zoo because I really appreciate what they do for animals and the city of Chicago. I was impressed with how much work they did to make the zoo safe for the public to come back. There are directional arrows all over to keep everyone moving in a way that can be socially distanced. The staff was all very friendly and helpful with any questions.

The zoo is awesome and landscape is beautiful. It requires a reservation. Be sure to view the website for requirements and plan accordingly. Some areas are not operational but that’s to be expected with the current health crisis. Other areas are functional and well worth the experience. We parked in the Zoo parking which has fees associated with it but the cost definitely offsets the free admission. Save yourself some time and Google the zoo’s parking versus the zoo’s address it will save you immensely!!!! We brought in snacks so i can’t attest to the cafe cost.
