This zoo was so fun to visit with our 21 month old daughter! She really loved the dolphin experience. Everyone was pretty far apart from each other, and the mask signs were everywhere, so I really liked that. Whenever there was an indoor exhibit, there was an attendant to count how many people went in, so that was nice. The only place where there was no attendant was the polar bear area, so we didn't go since so many people went in. Other than that, great experience! Tip: bring your own lunch since they have picnic tables and not too many food places open.

I spent my summer's in high school working in the Brookfield Zoo concession stands. It was my favorite place of all my jobs in high school. I loved walking through the Zoo in the early morning hours. On more than one occasion I was able to see newborn baby animals, the first was a tiger cub and the second was a baby giraffe that was born in the Giraffe House which was across from the concession stand, Safari House, which was my permanent job assignment. The atmosphere was a lot of fun because the majority of the employees were either high school students and college students during summer break from all over the Chicago area and west suburban town's. I love animals and it was a great place to see animals you would have never had a chance to see below.

Every single animal was active, out of their caves during out most recent visit. even though I have been there a dozen times, its the first time i witnessed all the animals energized like this(likely enjoying the good weather). Great way to get your steps in, enjoy the good weather, and spend time with the family!

Post Pandemic: everyone was doing their best to social distance. Most were wearing masks properly but mask wearing can only be controlled to a certain point. I liked the dinosaurs spread throughout the zoo. Glad to have purchased membership but I need to reserve my time slot up to a week in advanced.
