Riverview Mansion

This bed and breakfast is amazing. An 1889 historic house right across the street from the casino. The best part about my trip to metropolis was the hosts Laura and William. The nicest people with amazing food. Thank you so much for having us.

The bed and breakfast was beautiful and amazing! The rooms were gorgeous. Love the sit down tub/shower with jets and lights. The jacuzzi tub felt wonderful! Both are so relaxing! The owners were great and treat you just line family! Makes you feel just like home! The location is so close to all the attractions and restaurants! Breakfast was so delicious! Definitely recommend and we will be back!

This was my first time to stay at a B&B. Lori and Will are exceptional people. They made everything seem like home and made us feel very comfortable. The Grand Suite is the best!! Breakfast was beyond my expectations!! Will go back for another stay.

Was really excited to stay. Saw a ton of good reviews, so I was expecting it to be great. The entire place was dusty and not vacuumed, from the front door to our room. All of the linings smelled stale, dusty and musty. The toilet had hair and urine on it and while the towels smelled like bleach the we're stained and dingy looking. Both the claw tub and jet tub were dirty and the jet tub had hair and dirt all around the rim. We didn't even stay til the one o'clock check out or eat breakfast. There were dead flies and dirt behind the claw tub and literally every piece of furniture was dusty. The casino across the street had nice rooms for the exact same price. If I were to ever go back to Metropolis I wouldn't even consider staying at the Riverview mansion.nP.S. my husband also found toenail clippings on the floor and flower petals under the bed. We assume gifts left by the previous guests.

We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the warm welcome when we checked in to the delicious breakfast we ate the next morning it was amazing. For it to be a bed and breakfast you still get all the same amenities as a regular hotel with a more personal experience. The staff were so amazing the whole time it was if we were just visiting family.
