Shelby county treatment center changed my life!!!! I wish more people in the legal system understand that methadone/suboxone is a treatment for addiction but sadly so many don't understand nor do they care to understand how methadone/suboxone works.. methadone/suboxone is a medication to treat/stabilize someone with addiction as an antidepressants would treat/stabilize someone with depression as Insulin would treat/stabilize someone with diabetes..No we don't choose to be an addict or a diabetic or have Depression but we do choose weather we are going to take control or let Depression/addiction/diabetes control us...The treatment center gives peaple with addiction the opportunity to treat the addiction with a personalized treatment plan to fit the needs of each individual person..And the myth that it is free is just that a myth it is not free...

This the absolute BEST medical outpatient treatment in Birmingham & surrounding areas! BEST treatment & saved my life! Counselors are very involved in pt cases.... these amazing people really DO CARE! I have been to 3 other clinics, this BY FAR The BEST clinic I have been to! They SAVE LIVES

I've been coming here since 2015, as far as what methadone maintenance had done for me... Well thankfully I am a happy, functioning, productive member of society. When it comes to this clinic in particular... Things could be better. My counselor is an amazing lady but the staff, especially the owner leave a lot to be desired. The dosing nurses mean well. They deal with a lot from people daily and they do their best, but that owner, she's a horrible woman with a cold heart, a smart mouth, and a short temper.
