We love this little local zoo. Small enough our toddler can walk most of it and it can be done in a few hours but big enough that it has animals I've never seen before. Good prices for animal interactions. And the train is a hit with the kids. The older kids really like the sky ride. Should have just bought an annual pass when we moved here, because we go so often.

Nice zoo, with great views (we got to actually *see* almost every animal on the list), and we loved the way many of the animals were in shared habitats, they way they would be in nature (Bison, Elk, Deer, and various fowls all in one enclosure, etc). The walkways are paved, but it’s probably been at least a decade since they’ve been done, and the wear shows. Same with the playground and some of the structures. Overall, we would go again. It was a reasonable price for everything we got to see. Our whole family spent 4 hours there, and our 5 and 6 year old stayed with dad (while the little ones went to the hotel to nap) for a full 6 hours.

Visited this Zoo with kids during a week end. Surprisingly this turned out to be a good one. Museum stands out. I've been to many high grades museums across country and didn't had big expectations however it did had a mix of all activities for kids and grownups. The rope car ride and the train ride is a huge plus.

We recently went for the Christmas event after hours and it was wonderful. The light displays are beautiful and have many unique zoo animals that you don’t typically see in other Christmas light displays. The train ride was worth the extra cost and was a great way to see the lights around the entire zoo before walking around to see them all.

Upon arrival of the zoo my significant other decided to look up if this zoo was AZA accredited. We were disappointed to see that in fact they weren't and not by choice but because of a series of violations. Besides this fact we decided to go anyways. Below you will find a list of what we saw from start to finish.n-Upon entry greeted by Parrots freezing up against their small heatersn-Small hippo hiding inside pen, when he came out he began falling everywhere as his back legs seemed to be damaged.n-Big cat enclosure was very small for 2 cats, one paced back and forth as we walked up and never stopped doing so, almost in a defeated mannern-Reptile building, one of the worst stenches of mold possible immediately greets you upon entry, then you see where the animals are living.... one turtle was seen in a tiny dark blue box with algae everywhere.n-Gator, exhibit was covered in algae water looked as it hadn't been cleaned in months, scratched glass and algae covered the viewing windows, very disturbing.n-Elephants, water pool seemed to be very dirty in fact upon investigation the zoo was fined by the USDA for this before.n-Rhinos, exhibit was closed upon investigation seems as though both the baby Rhino and adult Rhino died mysteriously within the same month?!nI am all for Zoo conservation, but only when it is done in the appropriate manner. There are many other facilities that take the responsibility for these species. Since they cannot, they should surrender to someone who can.nOh but the taxidermy museum was nice so I guess they know how to take care of dead animals better :)
