I asked for their best room. Then a pregnant roach crawled up the wall. Smdh...nThey sell a product at nearly all hardware stores named Surrender. Go get some for those roaches. It will kill& keep them away.

Well it's the Roadway Inn you get what you pay for.nLet me start off by saying I used to work for Choice Hotels running many different locations around the country.nDuring my tenure I was one of the major contributors in developing the Choice Advantage System.nThat is what all choice brand hotels use for operating the hotel's it's used in many ways to assist in operations of day to day business.nBooking rooms, House keeping, back offices duties like Revenues information for accounting purposes and much more.nn**One if it's main functions a very important function is accepting payments for services**nYou can process payments by using the system features to accept cash or credit cards.(YOU DON'T NEED A CREDIT CARD MACHINE)nnMy reason for mentioning this is this particular location I stayed for just about a week an a half.nI was paying by the day.nn(Because I didn't know how long the Job I was on was going to last.)nnI payed cash for most of my stay, I tried to use my Bank Card and I was told that they didn't take cards.nnI thought to myself very strange... Working in this industry for just about 27 years we prefer Credit cards and today most travelers don't carry cash.nnI asked why they didn't they take cards and I was told the credit card machine was down. Ok no problem.nnFew things they could have done was the old fashioned way is to use a imprint card machine and paper credit card receipt... or Call Merchant Accounts and get a Voice Authorization for my payment.nnBut I guess it's easier to inconvenience the guests and let him go get cash where the guests now is incurring extra fees because he now needs to retrieve cash.. atm fees and bank fees.nnSo Now.nI has to find an ATM to get cash what an inconvenience.nnThis happens a few more times during my stay and I had the pleasure of meeting the General manager and I shared with him who I was and I worked with choice hotels for a long time.nnI also mentioned that I now have my own Motel and where we were located as well as give him my business card.nThat day I went to extend my stay and it's my new friend Mr. General ManagernHe had no problem taking my card..nnI then explained to him about my past dealings with his staff letting me know that they don't take cards then was explained the system was down,nAnd this was a continuous problem at this property and I explained to him my knowledge how this process works with Choice advantage and he told me that he would look into it.nnThe only time they took my card was when it was the General Manager.nnMy stay came to and end when I tried to use my card with an employee she told me the same ole story about the system being down..nWell at this time I had a rather late night and wasn't feeling well and this struck a nerve with me because I knew otherwise about the systems being down.nnSo I called Choice hotels and explained what was going on and I was assured the systems were up and working fine.nWell on the phone trying to prepay for my room through Choice,nThe front desk agent came to my room asking what I was going to do stay or leave?nI explained to her that I was on the phone with choice hotels telling them you guys won't take my card because your systems are down so I'm trying to pay through them...nnShe then got very irritate with me and her body language and demeanor changed.. She walked away and shortly told me that I was no longer welcomed to stay and that I would have to leave..nShe told me that's what her Boss Bob said.nI was on the phone with a choice representative during this and she heard the whole conversation.nnI'm not going through the process of reporting this ordeal to choice hotels because this is not a good image for the choice brand.

Check in was good service. Housekeeping are very loud. And they need to do better at cleaning

My mother, my son and i were trying to stay a night here just cause it was cheap while traveling through. But rooms infested with roaches toilet is broken off the floor. Ants in the sink. Tub handle ripped out. Staples in floor so now i cant let my son play on the floor. What next. Id rather sleep in the van at a truck stop then this.

It was very clean, quiet & all the employees were very very polite. Now the Owner can come off as being arrogant. But he's fair, polite & about his money (therefore be sure to have it by 11am or pack it up.) At times the ice machine has ran out of ice, they really could use another machine. This is definitely the top Motel to take your family to.. No pets allowed.
