WOW anytime I have called they have responded extremely fast! I commend them for there fine work with very few officers. They always say call back anytime there is an issue no matter what. They have been polite and respectful. They are trying to do everything they can with this very difficult community issues.. Backpackers.. Break-ins in abandoned property's, addicts that don't want help & there is only so much they can do without crossing the line on civil rights.. So be good Neighbors and become part of your neighborhood watches.. Instead of criticising.. Become part of the solution!

I am not a native of this small town, and am well aware of the overall socio-economic differences between my much larger, much more diverse, much more educated home city and Clarksburg... But the abuse of power by these white men of privilege in power is absurd, fascist, ungodly, inhumane, and plan wrong.

I called to report my stolen purse. I tried to explain that, most importantly, it contained my military ID & drivers license. Also, my bank card was already being used. I was rudely cut off before even telling her any of this. The woman took my name, phone number & said someone would call if they needed...nI admit I gave a 1 star after writing this, then had to come back and edit. I now raise my opinion since a very nice & helpful officer called back within 30 minutes. He asked several questions in detail, answered my questions & made suggestions as to what to do next. After finding out our family had just moved here, he gave some very helpful advice, told me exactly who to contact and asked if he could help with anything else. I am now satisfied with my care!

I tried calling the police department for over two hours to file a incident report. I left my number and name and nobody ever got back to me and had to drive down to the police station to finally talk to someone. They were extremely rude and not helpful at all.

It's usually not a place you'd want to visit, but staff are very respectful and helpful in each endeavor
