It's depressing...used to be clean and fun...now it's dirty and run down
Always have a good time when I'm at mountaineer. Just never win. Every time I go usually go through $1,500 or better. I always went a little bit but never nothing special. But I like the place it's right down the road an hour and a half and I can't comp the rooms which is always nice.
Fun, clean, good food. However, we stayed on a Saturday night, and while I understand things are different with COVID, nothing opened Sunday morning until 10 am. No casino, no restaurant, breakfast, nothing. We were up at 7 am and wanted breakfast. What are people supposed to do for 3 hours? We ended up leaving and driving home. Open up SOMETHING earlier on the weekends!
Mountaineer is a nice casino with a nice hotel, decent restaurants and nice selection of games. That being said its hard to win there. Finally had a day without kids so wife and I went to the meadows. I couldn't lose and walked out way ahead. So we decided to head over to mountaineer on our way home. Literally couldn't hit anything. 20 after 20 after 20...in and out. Ill swing by to bet horses or eat occasionally but done gambling there until I see people are winning again
