This is in my backyard in Greenbrier county where the Sydenstricker house used to sit. I'm assuming this was there back porch or maybe part of the foundation.

A beautifully restored historical treasure! Absolute must see on the 219 Rte of historical sites.
Most people don't know who pearl s buck is much less why visit her birthplace I grew up with this in my backyard. Hillsboro is wonderful quaint small-town some place to visit if you want to get away from it all.
The Pearl S. Buck birthplace is well worth multiple visits. Phyllis A. Lubin-Tyler gave a terrific tour. She has read most, if not all, of Buck's many works. She has visited and absorbed the information from the other Buck homeplaces, including those in China. Don't miss this!
