This is now a complex of multiple small buildings with unique exhibits. Each is free with their own donation boxes. Highly recommend visiting when in the area.

We anticipated a quick visit and stayed for HOURS exploring. So many different exhibits. A great afternoon for people interested in history.

Had a couple hours to kill and really enjoyed the museums. Lots of interesting history. Overseer briefed us on all the buildings and encouraged us to visit everything they have to offer.

Very nice museum with well presented and preserved artifacts. The grounds keeper is less than courteous to say the least. She was upset that we arrived an hr and half before closing time and she was extremely bothered that we actually wanted to see the museums. She informed us she would have to unlock everything because she generally goes home early on Saturdays. I tried to explain why we wanted to see it, it was on our travel plans after a 5 hr drive to Monahans. She quickly interrupted me to tell me she didn't care or have a clue about anything school related because her children are out of school already. Our teenager enjoyed the experience, despite the caretakers horrific attitude and unkind words. I hope she finds a different occupation that requires snide, rudeness. Your a horrible person ma'am.nnI hope the museum finds someone that actually WANTS people to see it and enjoy the learning experiences.

So much to see!! Not just the big cement pit. Railroad cars and memorabilia. Bomber Base building. Old house well presented in period furniture and wallpaper. Coca Cola building. Medical advancements memorable building. Old jail building. Oilfield and farming equipment. Old switchboard telephone station and post office. Stay a couple hours and please make a small donation of $20 since there is no admittance charge. God Bless Monahans Texas.nplease like
