I love this school and wish my son went here on his first year of school. I don't know why he was assigned to Nottingham Elementary, it was farther... and I didn't really like it there. The staff at WCE are great! Front desk people are friendly and very accommodating. My son loved his class and teachers, who are very engaging with the students. They also always welcome parents' participation at class parties and field trips.nnSadly, we have been rezoned although that's not to say our new school is not good. It just opened actually. If you're new to the area, know that Katy ISD rezones students every year. I don't quite understand how they decide school assignment in Houston because in some Katy subdivisions, residents are split to 2 different districts (Lamar and Katy) but the safest way to stay zoned to the same school is to live as close to it as you can.
