Police Stations And Neighborhood Storefronts

It saddens me to have to write this but I feel like I must mention this incident. Firstly, I am a huge supporter of the Houston Police Department. Born and raised here in Houston, I've had a number of experiences with the HPD and have always been proud of how well our authorities handle situations. To show my appreciation I've always donated to fundraisers that support officers and have anonymously picked up a few food tabs when dining in the same restaurant as a team of officers. Until a few days ago when I had an absolutely horrible experience with one of the officers in HPD by the name of A. Hashimi. Said officer pulled me over for a minor traffic violation. I am an honest and honorable person, so I had no intention of denying my wrongdoing and was willing and ready to fully comply. From the first word officer Hashimi said to me until the last, I could not believe how horribly I was treated. First of all, he was INCREDIBLY rude. His voice was raised constantly (borderline to yelling). He would speak with me in such an accusatory manner it made me forget we are still in America where you are in fact innocent until proven guilty. I was treated like an actual piece of human garbage, and I wish I was exaggerating. After the above mentioned run in, I no longer have the same level of respect for HPD. I hope that if I am ever in the situation where I need the help of our local authorities, that officer Hashimi is NOT the person that comes to help. I was treated so poorly by this individual that I would rather handle the situation on my own than ever encounter him again. I do not imagine that I was target for any reason, I am an ordinary, law abiding, middle aged citizen who's never been in any kind of legal trouble other than said minor traffic violation. Therefore, I believe that officer Hashimi treats everyone he pulls over with the same lack of respect. I hope this review is not ignored and officer Hashimi's superior would be willing to review some of the body cam footage and consider whether this attitude is acceptable when working to keep us safe.
