Pretty cool. Officer explained to me about the new red light camera laws. How the city has been grandfathered to accommodate the contract until 2024? I believe. It was totally my fault and the officer was nice and respectful. Paid my violation, owned up to my mistakes. Never run red lights!

This police officers are desperate for money! They are exploiting people off!! I moved to Balcones Heights area 3 months ago and I already have gotten 2 traffic ticket! The police office should be taking care of the people’s safety, fighting criminals. Not just giving tickets away like candy bars! I encourage them to actually do a productive and rewarding job.

I recently went to BCPD with some questions I had pertaining to a traffic violation. I was attempting to get information prior to a court appearance. I encountered Lt Crum who listened to my questions and provided answers as well as explaining to me how to acquire additional information. He was courteous professional and knowledgeable. Now I just have to figure out how to challenge the citation !!

If they can’t make money off of you then they won’t help you. Earlier today I tried calling for help as I was having issues with one of the neighbors at my apartment complex, a crack head that was harassing me and my kids. I was told by the officer that even though my neighbor was very ignorant, he could not tell her to stop bothering us. To try and ignore them when we pass by each other. Even my kids were confused as to why the cops couldn’t do anything to help with the situation we are under. But get this, 5yrs ago when we first moved to this area, I was driving down Hillcrest. I get pulled over for speeding. I was going 35mph on a 30mph zone and was charged $107 for going 5miles over the speed limit. The day I went to court for the ticket, I was told if I wanted to dispute it I could but that we would then end up going to court and if found guilty, that I would have to pay the additional court fees. BHPD you are a joke.

Worst experience showing up to court for a traffic ticket. It took three hours, I had to miss picking up my kid from school. How long does it take to make a judgement on ticket. This place is robbery, Balcones Heights is a unneeded city in the middle of San Antonio. There is no parking, I’m guessing your expected to park at one of the nearby apartment complexes and take a risk of getting your car towed. Just another way to make money off you. Horrible
