Beautiful 1920's building though the ground floor lobbies appear to have been stripped of their original grandeur. Large, spacious apartments with hardwood floors. Heating and cooling systems could be better. Great management. Reasonably priced. Convenient to everything downtown.

People here are alright, some friendly some not but that comes with the territory. At night id stay inside and avoid oak street. But the front desk staff is very nice and will work with you. So as long as you stay to yourself and cause no trouble then this is not a bad place to live!

I have enjoyed my apartment, we have a studio on the sixth floor, but there are a few things that are left to be desired. I can't ever seem to get in touch with anyone downstairs, we had no cold water for a month (which has now been fixed) and our first month here the apartment was infested with bugs. They finally sent someone to deal with the bugs (after I prodded them for over a month with requests) and while we still see the occasional bug, it is much better. We have caught two mice in the apartment since move in as well. There are some issues with cleanliness as well. I love my view, it is very conducive to my writing, and the size is quite large for a studio but I just wish other things were on the same level as the size and view! The laundry is also tiny, overpriced and nearly always out of service!

I live in this building now and if someone told me about this place before I moved here I would not be here now !! You have to deal with people on dope walking in and out of the building at all hours of the night. When you leave for work early in the morning you have groups of sketchy people sitting right in front of the door ways. The new office people don't seem to be doing anything to rid the building of these types of things. The building does smell like dirty homeless people, who I have caught sleeping in the stair well during the night. I leave early for work and on a regular basis I get hit up for money or cigarettes or something as soon as I walk out the front door literly ! There are some good people that live here and want to see good things happen with this place. This building could be such a great place to live. But the owners need to start making changes NOW. If they don't I know I'm out of here when my lease is up !! Hopefully I can make it out before I get mugged on my way to work !!! Beware, people before coming to live here. Ask the office staff if any changes have been made to make this place safer!!! Ask a lot of questions before signing!!
