This place is so beautiful, but did not get to go in i guess they are closed due to covid outbreak.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and book directly through the railroad. This company has horrendous customer service and doesn’t care one bit about the customer. We booked tickets in first class and even called ahead to see if we could bring our 10 month old. All they said was yes as long as she did not take up an extra seat. Then after driving 3 hours each way and the train about to leave the station I was informed that my 10 month old all of a sudden couldn’t be on the train. They tried to tell me that I never told them that I had first class tickets so it was my fault that they said I could bring my child. Last time I checked if you are the business selling the tickets then you should know where someone is sitting or at the min say that you can’t bring children if are in first class. Not push the blame off to customer and wipe yourself hands of an employees mistake. They did offer to move me to coach but offered no kind of refund for the major difference in price and meal we paid for. I told them if I wanted coach I would have bought a coach ticket. I hope that everyone sees how bad of an experience this company is to deal with and the lies they tell, and I hope to save others the trouble so they don’t book through this company!

Not at all what it’s cut out to be. Actually very disappointed. Boarded in Dillsboro N.C. Started off that the Available parking was almost nonexistent. They redirected folks to another parking area and shuttled. Then waiting for the train on another set of tracks was not what I expected. Safety concerns as the train arrived as folks were yelling at other folks to get off the active track. Getting on the train was worse. No organization and folks shoving one another to get on. Seating was open which made it a challenge to sit. The route was interesting as well. Some good facts as we travelled backwards the entire way. Mostly uneventful and really not what we expected. Lastly we were not even brought back to Dillsboro...we were bused. After paying 97 dollars per person I have to say this was one trip I would not take again. I’m not sure what makes it popular, maybe it’s because it’s only around about twice a year? I don’t get it and if I had to do it over again we wouldn’t take this ride. In fact we won’t. My friends are anxious to know about this place and sadly I can’t recommend. Still trying to find a great train ride...any one have a suggestion? If so please let me know.

Terrible customer service and a very rude manager of the tour company. Although the train ride might be nice, I would never give this tour company another dime!
