If you ride through Tellico Plains, this is a must stop location. It is all about the history of this area. One of the two buildings has a history of telephone equipment and the other has all types of fire arms with other interesting things intermixed between. All of this for a donation of your choice. Hard to beat!
Don't let the small town or outside fool you. This place is filled with extraordinary history. It's free to the public but please make sure to donate.nnThe gift shops are a great place for a quick souvenir.nnI was pleasantly surprised by this museum.nnAbsolutely wonderful.
We went in the visitors center and got trail maps and hiking medallions. The lady who worked there was super nice, very friendly and extremely helpful. Great place to start off your visit to the area!
