OPEN! The only thing permanently closed is camping. Lovely picnic area with charcoal grills, expansive views, and a really nice boat launch. Water levels really low in the winter. We can't wait to see it in the summer. Not sure if the bathrooms are open or maintained. No one there but a guy fishing when we visited this morning.
At first I thought this was closed due to the website but my parents took me and my dog there today and had a great picnic by the lake. Didn't realize just the camping was shut down, which is a shame. I'm new to the area and thought it was a beautiful area. Can't wait to go there more with my dog and enjoy the area. Hopefully to go swimming.
i would say the best time to do this trail is when i did it on a cool crisp janaury morning, the only thing i could hear was my feet moving through the leaves,
Absolutley beautiful. Hiked for an hour and a half and never saw another person. Amazing views.
Great place to visit the bike trails and walking trails are beautiful. They no longer have the camp grounds open which sucks but the lake is beautiful and boat ramps are nice and easy to put in.
