The vast majority of the store is clean and organized. The employees are always friendly and helpful. And they do clean the carts regularly between customers. The only reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the conditions of their bathrooms. The bathrooms in the back were in shambles and the feminine box had been broken open. In the front bathrooms by the registers the feminine box was empty. Neither bathroom had paper towels. Also in the front bathroom the hand dryer did not work.
I personally do not like Walmart at all. Only reason it's getting 2 ☆s is because every once in a while I have to go get something only they may carry, which usually they're out of or discontinued or its in bulk (which I do not need.) They are definitely not for the 'little man' & have unfortunately put a lot of mom & pops out of business!
I am disabled and unable to stand for even a brief amount of time so I am dependent on using the mobility shopping scooter they have. This is probably the 4th time I've gone to do my shopping and only the self checkout lanes are open. It's impossible to be able to scan your items while sitting so tonight I decided to try something different, backing into the register area which was a little easier but still not disability friendly. I've noticed they have increased the prices on most everything in the store yet no employees are to be found or if they are there totally unwilling to assist you. So let me understand this. Prices are higher but now it's my job to check my items out while 3 employees are standing there chatting and watching me struggle yet offer no assistance. If I were the manager and I witnessed this either in person or on video, there would be 3 employees looking for another job tomorrow. I typically have to ride the scooter out while I pull a cart of my groceries behind me to my car. It's getting to the point where I am so close to being done with Walmart and their lazy rude employees. I would rather pay more and get decent service from helpful employees who understand without customers there would be no store, job or paycheck. I could complain but obviously the management nor corporate gives a flip so I would just be wasting my time. I bet if Sam Walden was still running it, this lack of customer service would never be tolerated much less the norm. Also a week ago my son made a purchase that he had to return because it was defective and they didn't have anymore. He had his receipt, waited in line to get a refund but because their little gun in customer service wouldn't scan his receipt they refused to issue a refund or even offer store credit. Refused to call a manager basically just said tough, go somewhere else. I bet if they had another department store come to Camden they probably wouldn't last long. People work too hard for their money only to be told we're charging you more, you have to work for us for nothing, we're going to be rude to you and we won't stand behind anything we sell. What a joke.
Never had a problem here until today. So I go in this morning to do my big grocery shopping. My son is helping me at the self check out. This lady working stood at my cart watching me. I understand watching and ensuring people are scanning things but shouldn't she be watching everyone. Since she was so focused on my son and I she missed the guy skipping over the scanner. Hope your proud of yourself lady, I'm a hard working nurse who you decided to make feel like a thief. Maybe it's time to find a new job. I will be doing my grocery shopping at cash saver from now on.
Plenty of different brands/ varieties of products. I like the large expanded store especially the grocery area. Produce always appears plentiful & fresh & appetizing. Meats are fresh with attention to freshness dates & the wine selection is great.
