Super 8 by Wyndham Kingsport /I-81

Great and friendly service. Respected my instructions and was okay with me taking a little extra time to pack all my things for checkout. Nice and clean room as well. I was very happy with my stay(:

This would be a zero star, but it is not an option. We had reservations for about a month and a note for early check in. I showed up at the hotel to check in (around 11 AM) to see if the early check in was possible. Went into the lobby and no one was there the great me. I rang the bell, 3-4 times, and call the phone but no one came out to help for 10-15 minutes. At this point I needed a restroom and was going to go to a gas station and come back. On the way to my car the employee greeted me. I asked if early check in was available and she said she had no rooms at that time.nnI am an understanding person and told her that I would then need a late check in because we were going to a race at the speedway (which I know would not get done until at least midnight). She made a note on my file and said that would not be an issue. To be sure, I called the hotel at 4 PM to confirm I would indeed have a late check in room when we arrived, and again was told we are all set.nnThe race was over at 1 AM and we went back to the hotel to get some sleep. Upon arrival I spoke with a guy who informed me they had overbooked and zero rooms were available. He also informed me that if I had been charged I would need to get a hold of the booking agent. I had booked direct with the hotel, so that should not have been an issue.nnAt 1 AM I had to scramble to find a hotel in a small town with a lot of race fans. Obviously that was not going to happen. I got lucky and found a room 45 miles away that I could use for the night.nnI would not recommend even booking this hotel.

Absolutely foul. Old, soiled, lumpy mattress. Stained sheets. Blankets filled with cigarette holes. Tons of mold in the shower. Air conditioning reeked of cigarette smoke. The only hotel room I've been in that was worse that this one was in a third world country. Avoid this place.

Extremely recommend coming here! The manager (Julie) at the front desk is super nice and very friendly, rooms are also great!

My room was nice and clean. The housekeeper was very helpful to make sure we didn't need anything and was really nice.
