Tanasi Memorial

If one is visiting the Sequoyah Museum, this memorial is definitely worth the drive. It's not too far away, but the memorial marker has enough history information to justify it. No spoilers here, but one can learn a bit more about the state of Tennessee.

Interesting historical marker. The area feels ancient. You can imagine the tribe living there.

It is such a shame the original capital is underwater, like so much of history. Just happy to see at least something was erected to mark the area.

Important site, beautiful view and setting. A must see.
