Tulsa zoo is a large zoo so plan on at least 5 hours if you have kids to walk the entire zoo. With that said it is an amazing zoo for sure, with the new lost kingdom area and play ground the kids interaction is out of this world. The themes in each section as add to the experience and make you feel like you're really there. Also the way they set up the series of indoor exhibits where you walk from one to another Is Really neat. I highly recommend this zoo for sure and especially if you have kids.
We love going to the Tulsa Zoo! My kids (3 & 1) really enjoy seeing all the types of animals up close and hearing all the interesting facts about each one we visit. They are learning and retaining so much information via the trainers/caretakers and info boards posted everywhere. It's an excellent way to engage their mind with knowledge and fun, and their body with exercise by walking around the large park as well as playing in the new playground area. Plus, because my son is a huge fan of locomotives, the train is a great way to end the trip with a recap of all the animals we saw that day and it's by the entrance/exit so it's our traditional last stop before leaving every time.
Very underrated and overlooked part of Tulsa. They have made so many improvements over the last 5 to 10 years that it is a world-class facility! My kids love the new park and the Asia exhibit is top-notch! Definitely a must do if you are in the Tulsa area!
There are many wonderful animals at the fun Tulsa Zoo! There are elephants, giraffes, and many more exotic animals to experience here. There is a huge park and a petting zoo for kids and adults to enjoy. A short distance away from the zoo, there is another park and a nature center with walking trails. This is a great place to go for family fun.
Such a great zoo for rehabilitation. This zoo does so much for wildlife conservation and protection of these animals who otherwise wouldn't have a life in the wild, because they would've died. The exhibits are rich and catered to the animals needs. Good job Tulsa Zoo! Y'all may very well be the reason my kids go into animal conservation.
