Went on a Route 66 road trip and this was on the list, Headed west from Tulsa spent well over an hour at this amazing museum. Great experience and wonderful exhibits. Amazing amount of history under one roof. Not just history of a local hero but a national one too. Highly suggest you add this one to the list of things to do.
Wow, such a great aerospace and aircraft museum!!! Completely impressed with their plethora of missiles, rockets, replicas, and aircraft on location.nGift shop has a few awesome books for kiddos, and the entire building is spaced and well maintained.nnI came by for a couple hours on my road trip through I-40, and I am so happy that I found this gem of a museum.nnHighly recommend going to see, support, and educate yourself on this history.
If you are interested in Air and Space this is a great place to visit! From the Wright Brothers to the moon! There are alot of impressive displays for a museum in a small town in Western Oklahoma. You can explore a short time or spend a long time reading the information provided with the displays. The admission is very reasonable with discounts available. The gift shop is also reasonably priced. No fee for parking and handicapped access on a well paved parking lot.
Well worth the modest admission price. This museum is larger than expected, and while there’s a lot about General Stafford and the space program, there are also several exhibits ranging from the the beginnings of flight to WW2 and modern day aircraft. Several exhibits are on loan from other museums, high quality artifacts from rockets to aircraft. My whole family enjoyed the self guided tour. Plan on 3-4 hours. There are a few interactive exhibits, but expect younger children to get a bit restless towards the end.
I have been here twice. Once on a school field trip. I liked it so much I went back to spend more time here and brought the rest of my crew. We thoroughly enjoyed it. A great educational experience right here in Oklahoma. I would recommend a visit here.
