Peterson Industrial Depot

Picked up my boat from a long winters stay and pulled it home to find water draining out the back. Further investigation showed carpet very wet and big container in back with 5" of water in it. Ski locker still had water in it telling me it was pretty full. It did have the travel cover on it so that also tells me it was being poured on for a long period of time and the cover couldn't keep it out any longer. I was expecting to take a dry boat home with all the rain and snow we had this year and I paid good money to store the boat but nope- I could have done a better job keeping the water out of my boat outside at my house. I was then disappointed that they told me I would not get any money back. "look at number 9 on your contract you signed". "Not liable for anything," they say. Common courtesy would have been nice since you did move my boat out of the way at some point but didn't call me to tell me that you knew it was being poured on and very wet. Hope it didn't freeze at some point and I will find problems in the future. What would you expect if you found your boat soaked after putting it in storage that was suppose to keep it dry? Isn't that why we bring it to you and pay good money to keep it safe for the winter? I would expect a refund, at least, if the storage facility had a leak. If you do take your boat there, maybe you should go pay the 40 bucks to go check it after a good rainstorm to see if they picked a good spot for you under the leaky roof. Off to go clean up the mold that is growing. WOW.

Great storage for your out of season toys like boats, motor homes etc. while it is a “drive” from SLC you will not find a more affordable location for season long storage. High doors too so no problem for those tall radar arches, etc. my only wish is you guys had Saturday hours during height of season when we bring out & pick up. 9-1:00 maybe??

Great place. Fair and honest

If i could give this a negative star review i would, this place is the most un professional and un reliable storage facility there is. They take zero responsibility for anything they do or say to you over the phone. I called in advance to make sure that my toy hauler would fit in their facility and was assured the doors were 14' (The lady on the phone is the best thing they have going for them). She asked her boss "Brock" if they had space and the ability to store the height we required, After the conversation took place i also let them know that i had family that stored at the depot last year and they needed a forklift to move the trailer under the door that is 13'8" . They told me once again no problem. "Come on out" . Since they are only open from 7-4:30 during the weekdays, myself and two others decided to take half a day off so we could get out there before they closed. We were met at the entrance and filled out our paperwork and then directed to the warehouse at the back of the property where we were met by an employee of the depot, I told him that the only way these 3 toy haulers were going to be able to fit was by use of a forklift they needed to be lowered down on the front ends down until they were under the doors and then picked them back up once inside. (Just as i had mentioned on the phone earlier in the week). At this point he tells me that they don't do that, they aren't allowed to help put anything away at any point. I asked if i would be able to use the forklift myself (i am licenced) again no, its not an option. After arguing that i had been told differently on the phone he basically told me i was a liar and that his boss was gone for the weekend and would be unreachable. His final comment was "go get your money back" and "don't get an attitude with me" We were then sent back to Salt Lake with a promise of a phone call on Monday morning, no call by noon on Monday so i called and again left a message for Brock, no return call, another call on Tuesday once again left another message for Brock and explained to the receptionist that i would be happy and able to bring my own forklift out to there "warehouse" and put my trailer away using my own equipment as they required. I Finally receive a call back from the receptionist and she has to tell me that I'm not allowed to bring my own equipment to their storage to put my stuff away. Honestly? i can bring my truck and trailer, (both pieces of equipment), but i cant bring my own forklift? These people have no clue what customer service is. If you have options, give someone else a try, this is not even second rate storage for your toys. This is a mis managed after thought along with being insecure and cut rate at best.

Nice storage units at a good price. Only complaint is they need a trash bin out there
