Absolutely horrible! Do not send your child to this school, especially if your child needs special education. My son attended Morton for Kindergarten and part of 1st grade. It wasn't so bad last year, but this year when special needs teacher Ms Sroufe left, they failed to find a new teacher. They were given random busy work instead of learning, no homework, well past the first grading period. They only have a teachers aid in that class, who has no reason working with special needs children, as she is very mean. My autistic son, had an accident during class and I wasn't notified of the disciplinary action taken against my son as he was forced to scrub the floor in front of his classmates. The nurse is also less desirable. I get a call he had mosquito bites and that he was ok, and when he came home his eye was swelled shut as well as big lumps all over his head. They tried to change the story to pink eye. And the ultimately to abuse, although they clearly stated it happened during school hours. They try to cover their butts in any way the can, no matter who takes the fall. Absolutely horrible school! My son got transferred, and you will want to as well!

I am at a loss of words when it comes to this school. The only decent aspect of this school is the receptionist and the assistant principal, if anything the assistant should be the principal. My son has been in the school for two years now and I am by far the least impressed, he had a crash course in writing cursive last year and now is expected to know cursive? What ever happened to practice writing in this school? My youngest son is in Kindergarten and has not had any practice with writing his letters, only his name, but he is to write without practicing the correct format, I mean what happened to the manuscript papers? What happened to practicing with the dotted lines? My son came home from school and had to write his sight words (which are now vocabulary words?) and had no idea how to write them, what do they do all day? They even expect him to read without knowing the sounds of the letters, how is he suppose to sound out the word and practice reading when he has no clue of the letter sounds? Yes he was in preschool, but they did not learn the sounds of their letters, just what they were and writing their names.
