Worst school ever. As a guardian to a diabetic child I was worried about school and how the medicine would be handled. Worries confirmed because this vial place does not listen to what the parents tell them nor do they read doctor orders. In less than 4 hours they feed my child 200 carbs and had her sugar well over 400 pushing 500. When confronted they act like you as a parent know nothing about your own child's health. After our last doctor visit orders were written that have been ignored and still encountering major spikes in blood sugars. Again we confronted the school nurse, which I feel should not be allowed to practice as a nurse, about giving out child sugar treats at school. She first tried to cover up with that the child was under carbs so allowed to have, but back peddled when we told her we had discussed the no sugar rule in our meeting the week before and by allowing our child to have the sugars had shot her up to 569. She claims it's something they need to work on which is a joke after being told no sugars and her knowing this child is a diabetic allows this type of activity. BEWARE and do not let your child attend this school!! They do not care what parents want for their child nor the welfare of the handicapped child. If possible I would choose a different location and school that DOES care about all children equal.
This school helps alot of people no matter what they don't just teach they help you understand this school makes u apart of the team Clyde Elementary
