Valdese Police Department

We had a scary breakdown at Exit 111 with my pickup truck which was loaded with household goods and a 10 ft trailer attached also loaded. I had just contacted a repair center but couldn't hear what they were saying because of the traffic noise on I 40 roaring by. Valdese Asst Police Chief James Buchanan stopped and offerred assistance which we gratefully accepted. He spoke with the repair center and arranged towing for the truck and trailer. We were back on the road within an hour.nWe will never forget the kindness shown in Valdese by the repair center, the tow truck operators and especially James Buchanan. He will be in our prayers for his safety and success.
